That's certainly possible.
I try to avoid reading to much into implied political messages from movies (facially nonpolitical movies). That said, it is interesting that Bird's two Disney movies (The Incredibles and Tomorrowland) seem to have a decidedly anti-liberal message.

How can Tomorrowland or John Carter be rated low when Spy with the fat chick is over 90%.

Bird is from Kalispell Montana, he probably has very traditional views.
