Is the Bills Rob Johnson decision the worst Owner overreach ever?

In 1999, Flutie led the bills to 10-5. In game 16, they played Johnson due to the playoff spot being locked up. After the game, the owner told Wade Philips he must start Johnson in the playoff game Keep in mind Flutie was coming off a pro bowl season in 98 and was playing very well in 99 as well. Johnson went on to have only 10 completions, 2 fumbles, and a safety in a game that the Bills lost on the Music City Miracle
I mean is that not insane. I think people in New Orleans would murder Benson if he pulled a stunt like that

Was Flutie hurt or something?

I can't believe I've never heard of that before. That's beautiful.

Looks like I wasn't the only one watching A Football Life tonight.

Probably, the other that comes to mind is Jerry Jones insisting on drafting QB Quincy Carter about 3 rounds earlier than he was projected. He went on to stink it up on and off the field.

And that wasn't even Ralph Wilson's worst move. He fired Bill Polian after an argument with his chief financial owner. Wilson is seriously one of the WOAT owners nobody ever talks about.
