Home Depot?

I see these jokes all of the time but I have never seen a group of Mexicans hanging out at HD looking for work and I doubt anyone making these jokes has.

The real answer is to either find some college students, put an ad or check Craigslist for ads, or call a day labor place.

Another thing I do is hire people out of halfway houses to work but you may just need to watch them a little closer. They have to pay and work to stay in the house and you can find some good cheap labor there.

I know a guy here that owns 10 halfway houses and he is constantly looking for work for the people that live in them.

are you blind or stupid?

Home Depot on Coursey. There's a live oak tree in the parking lot close to Burger King corner. I guarantee you there is at least 3 under the tree right now. I've never been to that location and not seen 3-5 hispanics waiting under that tree.

Then you're blind.

Look closer. It's like finding a prostitute.

No, they're definitely there. In Mid City Nola, after they closed the Home Depot on Carrolton, next to Rouses, there were Latinos hanging out front, I'm talking months afterwards, they were still there. That blew my mind. I figured they'd have gone to an actual hardware store. But I guess there was enough renovations going on in mid city, they still found work.

Personally, I'm fine with Latino workers. I'm a construction inspector, and have seen how hard they get at it. Ask farmers in Alabama about when they passed those crazy racist laws what happened. The economy went to shite, the food rotted, and the local crackers wouldn't do the work. Americans are self-entitled, and most can't handle manual labor like Manuel can.
