Jon Barry reportedly heard someone within the Cavs organization say that they feel Kyrie Irving (knee) will not play again in the Finals. "I heard something from a Cavalier person – and this is not documented – but they feel like he’s done for the series," said Barry in an interview with Dan Patrick. The injury really didn't look good at all, but we'll be waiting for an official diagnosis from Cleveland's side before making such a bold statement. Irving is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Friday, so we should have an official ruling on Irving's status for Sunday's Game 2 soon. Stay tuned.

Crazy to think if Bron hits the game winner, or Shumpert's shot goes in, Cavs are up 1-0 and still have Kyrie. And now they are looking at a huge disadvantage. What a reversal of fortunes.

And it really sucks that an epic game like that ended the way it did.

They might get swept without Kyrie.

Not like they'd beat Golden State anyway, most likely.

Lebron is still good for at the bare minimum one game

They had every opportunity to win Game 1. Golden State got dominated down and needed big games from most of their bench to win in OT. Had LeBron's or Shumpert's put back gone in, Cavs would have won in 5 or 6.

Golden State played an average game for them, overall. Their bench was great, but they weren't great in hardly any other areas.

They barely got one last year against a similar team. I think the Cavs are better than the Heat were last year, because of offensive rebounding. However, without Kyrie, that isn't the case anymore. They are worse.

Yeah, I know you can't compare those kind of things completely, but I think it is possible they could lose the next 3 if Kyrie doesn't play.

In the end Bron Bron still ends up with himself and a bunch of shitheads in the NBA finals. What a shame.

Are you insinuating that this happens routinely?

That sucks. I may not like Lebron and may root against Cleveland.. But I want it to be a fair fight without big injuries.
