Long arms are not ideal for use in confined spaces. Shot guns, pumps especially, are not an ideal choice. So much bad information in these types of threads. Experience pushes me to rifle and pistol caliber SBR's or sub guns first then to semi auto handguns. Shot guns would be last on the list, unless Im gonna go ahead and use bird shot and just rack it since the sound scares intruders off.

I'm buying my wife a MP5 and a sig 9mm and sending her to spec ops school. It's gonna be awesome when she frags out the staircase and sweeps the house of all of the nazis.

What exactly is a scarred woman going to be doing? Clearing the house like a swat team member? A shotgun is a very fine choice for locking the bedroom door and staying put.
