Chattanooga is more of a liberal city in comparison to Nashville though

Definitely.

Its a lot more granola, which I love. Chattanooga is a great city. Public schools aren't close to Nashvilles, but you don't have kids I would recommend it highly.

Wife and I routinely go stay a weekend down there and walk around the city.

This is definitely the biggest negative for me right there. I just had a kid. It's pretty much like BR, you have to go private. Ooltewah and a few magnet schools are the only maybe public option.
