The pics don't really do anything because they appear to not be taken at the same spots. I'd say I've learned nothing to the extent of the drought from these pics.
You guys do realize you can slide the arrows in the center left or right to see before and after pics, right?
The angles are spot on mostly.

When I lived there back in 1990 there was no "Sometimes Island". The lake had enough water I guess to cover it up. Never knew it was there until now.

Damn, Texas is one ugly fricking state.
Rather than being exotic desert, or lush temperate climate, its some bastard combination of both.

A lot of folks at work are saying they have some cleanup to do when they get home. Didn't look too bad at my place around Barton Creek Mall.

I spent my early childhood on that lake. I used to love just riding in the front seat of my Dad's convertible driving to Mansfield dam pulling the boat.
Was such a nice view.
That and Lake Austin, I remember remarking when we moved to NOLA how the water was always brown, no mater if it was a lake, pond or river.
They sure needed this. Though the dry season is starting.

I'm glad it's filling up. I want to get out to Oasis when I get back to Austin in a week

What the frick are you talking about? They are almost exactly the same.
You're fricking high if you think those are almost the exact same shots side by side.

ETA: This response was for that guy ^^^
Do you know what "almost" means?
Here's an example of what it doesn't mean. "You are almost a fricking idiot."
Since you are indeed and precisely a fricking idiot, the "almost" modifier is not appropriate.

It appears that a lot of the pics look odd because there are a lot of floating docks there.
