Morality and freedom are separate for a reason.


None stated that fundamentalist Islam is right.

The argument supposes that we should behave in a manner opposite of what we know to be correct, because the other side is doing that. Again, we do hold ourselves to a higher standard. When we don't do that we are trashing the things that we supposedly view as with fighting for.

To be clear, it is a fight in which we should be engaged, but not in this manner.

What?

Who is correct? The people in the rally think they are correct and they are within the bounds of the law.

That's the thing about arguing for morality or "correct" action, as long as you are within the law... The choice is yours.
