Anorexic woman got strangers to fund her 'treatment'

I saw this vaguely a few days ago. This 37-year old woman weighs 40lbs. She's anorexic and "needs treatment she can't afford". This just screams attention to me, and yes, I know I'm giving it to her by posting it here but asking for money to help cure a disease you gave yourself? C'mon.
The hospital in question has "agreed to accept her".

I'm no doctor but wouldn't a cure be, you know, eating?
Uhmmm just eat
use that $120,000 to buy a ton of pizza or something

One would think it would be that easy but apparently it costs, like, $120,000.

You mad?
People can give money to whoever they want.

Did I say I was mad? Don't think so.
I didn't giver her my money either, god knows she'll probably end up on food
stamps too.
I take it you gave her the equivalent of a cheeseburger though.

For those that want help, if it were that easy, I promise you they would.

Good luck to her.

It is not my intention to poke fun at her situation. I, too, have female friends who have battled anorexia and bulimia. But they dealt with it on their own, not asking for money. I also don't see it as a disease, but something that they did to themselves as crass as that may seem.

Well a case like this isn't just sending someone to the local rehab facility during the day for treatment that insurance covers. It requires around the clock care by a team of professionals.

Well it is a disease. And as I said earlier, those that are truly entrenched in the disorder aren't doing it because they want to or for attention.

Saw this last week. I don't understand the fact that nobody would treat her.
I had a friend in a similar situation that was 60 lbs. in her mid 20's. The first option for her was a feeding tube or eat. She said she ate a lot of PB sandwiches. She was inpatient for about 6 months before they released her at 100 lbs. She's functioning now, but nowhere close to healthy.

Sooo you think she's faking it for money? I've known women with anorexia. It's serious shite.

Me and the wife were talking about this yesterday. How does she lose that last 20 pounds to go from 60 to 40? Christ, she should have been in the hospital a long time ago. Feel bad for her. Those pictures are disgusting.

You can't just start eating again. That's not how this disorder works.

Someone call Kige. He's the local expert on people with "anorexic."
