The ball was a lot closer than you guys are making it out to be, but I agree that there needs to be a review of umps who's strike zone calls are off the acceptable standard. If that K Zone is accurate at all, it's easy to get the data.
Regardless, ego is what drives this game. I'm sure Harper was thinking "I'm flipping Bryce Harper, he's going to call THAT a strike???"

The difference is that Harper's ego actually matters. The fans pay to see him, he mashes the ball and everyone leaves happy. The ump is there to facilitate the game. If he doesn't get in the box, call a dead ball and add a strike to his count. Ya know, like what the rule book says to do

Most K Zones are using Pitchf/X, so I'd assume it was correct but it is still an assumption.
