Never understood the "takes away a home game" argument. A home and home series would do that too every other year or so. More often then not, it will be further to travel to a true away game then a neutral site game and harder to get tickets.

Also, I think it's good for the players to have a game in a "half" road game environment with a good team with some LSU backing to warm them up for what SEC play is like on the road.

However, all of the other arguments against I can see, like not wanting to travel to see a good opponent.

I went to both Dallas games and the Houston game last year and loved all 3.

I won't even bother watching the McNeese game on tv this year.

LSU has Neutral site games in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018. Thats 5 out of 6 years. If these were home and home series instead, then LSU would have a great non-conference home game 3 times in a 6 year span. Instead we have 1 in 6 years. Not that hard to understand.
