There is stories like this in every religion. All roughly 4200 of them. So I guess yours is the right one. 1 billion people can stop worshipping Vishnu now.

It is foolish to assume that just because you haven't experienced God personally, that others have not.
I've personally had a spiritual encounter of some type, where the barrier was down enough for sound to come through. I've personally seen these spirits flee at the name of Jesus.
I've seen medical miracles. I know you have no reason to believe me, but I'm going to spread the truth either way.
Amen.

Message by BigEdLSU That's not the trumpet sounding. That will be heard worldwide.

I know some people that have heard the trumpet sound. It is strange and sounds like a bad sci-fi movie, from what I hear.

The more "educated" one becomes, the harder it is for them to have faith in Christ. It's a form of self-worship that I'm guilty of myself. Thank God for his mercy and grace, seriously. Just repent
No.
Usually the more "educated" one becomes, the more they are open let go of fairy tale stories and realize life is very much worth living and its very freeing to rid yourself living your life by a child's bed time story. There is not a single logical reason for believing in this God/Spirit Mumbo jumbo, this "personal relationship with your savior" or whatever nonsense people are calling it these days to try to make it sound more appealing than the hundreds of other religions around the world.
I can understand how easy it is in the south to get caught up in the Christianity fling, though. It's ingrained into the culture.

Actually I'm dead on. It is self worship to the core. The more learned (emphasize the last syllable) one becomes, the more reliant on self they become. The more you know, the more you think you know it all.

Such hubris. There are plenty of people more educated than you who don't pretend to have the answers as you do.

If atheists are so immune to "fairy tales" why did you overwhelmingly vote for Obama twice?

When you say the more educated one is the more they let go of such fairy tales, and I guess you mean the faculty lounge theoreticians at our universities. I go to Mass on Sundays and amongst the congregation are Cardiologists, Urologists, Vascular Surgeons and numerous primary care physicians. I guess they haven't been educated enough.

Such a typical response.
I didn't claim to have more educated answers than anyone. I simply said believing in fantasy stories isn't logical.

He didn't claim to have any answers.

In my years of experience in the Church, I've observed the less educated people receiving miracles more than the educated folks. Not to say that both groups aren't the recipients of the favor of God though.

You're the one saying you know it all
Posted on 5/17/15 at 9:31 pm to sawmillsam
i can assure you that we are surrounded by a spiritual world that your five senses just don't tune in with. Yet.

Of course the spirit slayer shows up to agree with his fellow spirit witness.
The more educated you become is a bad thing!?!? What utter non-sense. There are 970 post secondary Christian Schools. That's just in the U.S.

No I don't know enough to not be in jail or a drug addict left to my own devices. I do my best to provide useful insight based only on the word of God.
It's very useful to me in two ways. For one, some of you guys may have never heard some things explained in ways that come out on here. Also, it is an opportunity for my online brothers in Christ to correct me when there's a biblical reference.
God knows it all, not me. I'm flattered though.

I never said it is a bad thing. That's not my point. My point is that increased education presents unique obstacles to faith. It's one of thousands of stumbling blocks. That's all.
