with the way teams cycle through head coaches, this is highly unlikely. i bet you 1 million dollars that he becomes one again.

I'll up the ante and say he is a head coach this upcoming season.

If Byron Scott keeps getting good jobs then it's possible Monty could possibly get one.

No fricking way, unless you're referring to a high school team. He will be an assistant, and maybe not even this upcoming season.

You know they always have teams that will try.

Orlando is rumored to have interest should they lose out on Thibs. I've heard Toronto as well. People will say Pelicans did him wrong and give him a shot based on playoffs.

Do you have links to teams being interested in him? Because I haven't seen anything to that effect.

those that are saying that I bet didn't watch us at all this year or very little. they are just looking at the record improvement and saying he improved

I don't think AD gives as much of a shite as we thought.

I agree with that...but you they probably have those that see a handful of games and just assume we played great lol. I'd hope NBA execs are better than that but I don't know lol

@ESPNSteinLine: Yet it's far more likely, of course, that Monty Williams waits for next HC opportunity, perhaps getting in mix with either Denver or Orlando

May not be HC just yet, but this would be fantastic gig for him.

He would definitely make a good Assistant coach, he would be the players coach on Donovan's staff
