How do you give the command? it doesn't show up on the list when you press L1.

I enjoy the side quests more at this point.
The controls are so wonky and take some getting used to.
It's good practice on an outpost with 5 guards before hitting a base with 20-30.
And lol at the first time a rolled through a base I previously captured with the jeep thinking no one would be there.
And what's the deal with the target practice side ops? They'really annoying but seem to be repeatable?

Yeah, if I get caught on some of the tougher missions I just start over most of the time. The one gripe I have is the sheer amount of enemies you sometimes have to navigate through, and they can see you flinch from a mile away. That gets irritating.

The command "Cease cover" only appears if she is currently providing cover fire. She goes into cover fire automatically if you set off an alarm. Otherwise, she will not shoot unless you direct her to do so OR you go into reflex mode and she's in a position to kill/tranq the fool who spotted you.

Helicopters are the devil in this game. I got to the point that I'd just destroy them from afar, especially in the "Destroy the armored vehicles/tank" missions. Then, I'd call in my trust sniper tranq rifle and go HAM.

Man, I feel like I'm not getting a lot of the cooler stuff yet. I don't have the cargo Fulton or any type of silenced snipe and I'm on the first African mission.

You are definitely missing something just not sure what. I made these two items priority. Look at whats required on each in the weapons/items development box. More than likely you are missing the transportation expert for the Fulton, and medical team/anesthesia person for the silenced non-lethal sniper.

I think you need to unlock the legendary gunsmith (side op 107-109) for the silenced rifles and a transportation specialist for the Cargo Fulton (he's in mission 15).
Plus, your support team level needs to be high enough. Do any side ops that involves rescuing prisoners and that should help.

The animal collection thing is aggravating me. The bait bottles don't work worth a shite and the highest leveled animal traps capture the same animals over and over.

Same here. I think I have level 4 cages and I'm catching the same animals as level 1.

I know this question has probably been asked 100 times in this thread but I've never played MGS before. Do I need to play the others in order to understand/truly appreciate this one?

I finished the PS4 version. Started a new game on PC since I got a free copy. Graphics are unbelievable. I'm recording my game to upload as I play through.
