Goddammit! Kids left the porch light on. There's about 100 of those winged demon bastard dead right inside my front door. No worries. Got house

Yes!!! Looked at the name of your thread then looked toward back porch whose door was slightly ajar for puppy. By the time I shut the door they were all over the room. Smacked them with newspaper and vacuumed them up. Hate those suckers. Puppy at closed door looking out window. He wants to go play with them!!!

I'm guessing this is a south La phenomenon? Never had problems with swarming termites in Mississippi. You occasionally see a rotten stump that is swarming with them but they aren't a bother.
Pro tip for at night when bugs try to come inside when door is opened: turn on outside light and turn off inside lights before opening door. If you are outside coming in then you are sooo fricked.

Went outside for 10 minutes and got one in my bra.

Mine were winged and stupid. They landed on the wall then just sat there. Swatted them then sucked them into vacuum.

Nasty! My granddaughter's high school graduation was held in an outdoor stadium and they swarmed at the end of the ceremony. I might sleep with cotton in my ears tonight!!!

Weren't out around my house last night. Made the drive home tonight down airline from highland and those damn things were hitting the car like a rain shower.by the fairgrounds. Were swarming much worse around south br/pville area than Gonzales, at least right now.
