Damn. Lots of gators crossing the roads this time of year. Saw 2 around Houma yesterday that had been hit.

The original article was wrong. The van hit the gator and stopped almost immediately. The picture shows the gator right behind the van. The car behind the van couldn't stop and rear ended the van. The driver of that car died. Not the van driver. Very sad.

I was blowing down 290 in Houston doing about 70 and traffic started slowing up. This guy in a van with a flat was stopped in the far left lane. He was standing behind the van talking on his phone. His wife or SO was sitting in the passenger seat. What an idiot.
