Does your gym support the perpetuation of rape culture?

An SJW facebook friend of mine just shared this. I for one would be willing to bite the bullet and allow girls to work out in the nude in order to put an end to the rape culture epidemic in America

idk about rape, but unless restrictions on men are equal, I have a problem with it.

Rape culture maybe is a little over the top, but she has a point. Guys like to ogle chicks, but then the girls are sluts if they wear revealing attire.

Yes. It makes me feel objectified like a piece of meat.

Women who come to the gym dressed like whores know they're dressed like whores because they are, in fact, usually whores.

She has no point. This is no different than directives to keep shirts on. If there was a sign sayin to not let your nuts hang out, I wouldn't think it was because people feared I would be raped.

As a business owner, one should be free to impose whatever dress code one likes on one's customers and one's employees.
If your customers do not like it, they can simply go to another gym.
Free enterprise at work.

Well, it's extremely sexist to tell women to cover up because men will be distracted. It's like being in a Middle East country.

This. If you don't want to respect the owner's desire to maintain a level of professionalism in their facility then you can kindly f off.

So a woman wearing a tank top is unprofessional? What about men who wear beaters?
You just proved her point.

In my college gym, girls were allowed to wear only a sports bra (well...and shorts...and shoes). Of course I can't remember any girls actually not wearing a shirt but a particular (very old) male professor had a problem that men had to be more covered up (tank top at minimum), so he wore sports bra in protest. Staff got so tired of telling him they just gave in.

I don't know this gym's rules but in almost all cases there is a dress code for men too. And thank god, nothing worse than ole roidhead leaving a dripping puddle on the bench
