Anything in this line crossing 35 near Norman?
Posted on 5/10/15 at 6:58 pm to AHOUSEUNITED
It has been. Not sure how much of the time. I'm not sure what time the first warning was issued, but I first saw it at 4:15. So.....we are starting to get in the neighborhood of 3 hours. I'm not sure how the records work as far as if it has to be on the ground the entire time or not, but to my knowledge the Tri-state tornado has the record at 3 1/2 hours.

Jesus...casualties or damage?

It's been tracking for 3 hours and I'm not seeing alot of news about it so I'm assuming it hasn't been ripping a path this entire time, but even absent that, one area maintaining constant rotation and maintaining constant warnings for that long is pretty remarkable. Damn near unheard of.

As of 7:10, it is still going but is showing some signs of dissipating for the first time. Unless it cycles it looks like it might be dying.

Saw some apts next to 35 in OKC at x121 looked like a bomb went off...people out there trying to get their things out of the wreckage

Looks like it has pulled back together in the last couple of minutes.

4 1/2 hours.
This tornado/rotation has continued nonstop for 4 1/2 hours.
I've never seen anything like it.
ETA: Went for 4 1/2 hours. Warning was dropped while I was typing the message.

The news tomorrow am is going to be incredible. Lots of small tornados all over this place this weekend. I hate that so many have lost things but very thankful we haven't had more injuries or deaths.

Holy shite. I flew from Will Rogers in OKC to Dallas back to BWI this morning.
They people out there were talking about getting a shitload of rain this weekend (they've already had floods) but I didn't hear about tornadoes.

Sounds like Moore, Oklahoma needs to take cover.
