Agreed. It was too hot for me. Tried the sleep number and it just sucked. Terrible sleep. Have a restonic and it's been decent. We are in the market for a new one and I will have to check out the iComfort. I like the idea of a cooling gel. Is that a built in layer on top? Is it on both sides so you can flip it?
Not sure, I've added pillow tops and other shite, but they haven't helped. I'm going to ride this one out for a bit longer, but these mattresses can really suck with the heat issue. As far as my back, it loves this mattress. Not worth it, though, to me.

From what I understand, tempurpedic came out with a new cooler top for their mattresses. So you have the standard version of each mattress with one layer of the cooling and the breeze version with three layers.
I believe both the tempurpedic and icomfort are topped with the cooling layers and are not meant to be flipped.
Before jumpng into this, the first thing i checked was each store's return policy. The two places we looked locally were mattress direct and mattress firm. Both allowed returns but mattress direct didn't give you any money back (if you wanted a cheaper mattress or no mattress at all from them). Mattress firm gave you the difference between a cheaper mattress or all your money back if you didn't want a mattress from them less a $149 return fee. Icomfort and tempurpedics are priced by the manufacturer so it made sense to go with mattress firm in case we don't like it.
