When you consider Flynn's bio from his LSU days, he's done extremely well for himself. No big stats or honors, but he did get both SEC and NC rings. Now he's gotten his time in the NFL & has earned his pension money, got that $36M check from Seattle, and his annual salaries have always been in the $1M a year range. And has never embarrassed either himself or his teams, LSU & the pros.

Flynn would make $14.5 million of the $26 million contract with Seattle.
Then the Raiders took over that contract and what looked like a smart move, decided to take Flynn's salary from 2013 and part of 2014 and converted it to a $5.25 million signing bonus. They cut him a few months later.
Flynn then was signed by Buffalo and his contract last year with Green bay was for just under $2 million with bonuses.
Total career earnings as of date= $17.48 million
Jamarcus Russell earned $39.4 million when all of the dust settled in Oakland.
