Expected this 100%. I knew the second he was traded he would gain a chip on his shoulder and try to become a better player (something I think would never have happened had he stayed in NO). That's fine. we were never going to get that out of him so we lose on nothing. With the pick we got for his selfish arse We took the LB who will push his arse in the dirt in coverage next time we play. No worries. Block away.

Agree, completely. That's always the wild card when a player with a high ceiling is traded or cut. The personal motivation factor is something that can't be measured or predicted.

We definitely couldn't get much more out of him. Now, he's with a tough-minded team that plays physical. Jimmy will have to follow suit if he wants to survive there.

All the players on that defense know he's "soft" and avoids physicality, so they will challenge him and -- he'll get tougher and grow as a player. But as mentioned, we could never have gotten this from him - so it's best that we got a top-level center and drafted a linebacker with the pick (both huge needs!)

The thing I wonder with Graham as a blocker, is that he seems to have a propensity to get nagging injuries with the limited contact he does take as a receiver. I expect him to be very battered and hobbled.

He's going to still do incredible things with Seattle because he's a gifted talent and he's got a mobile QB that is incredibly accurate. It might sting to see, but we had a nice ride with him and turned him into a couple of needed pieces and also freed up desperately needed cap space.
