I'd agree that he wasn't intentionally trying to injure Love. But he was intentionally taking actions that cause injury at a pretty high rate.

To me, this would be the same as intentionally undercutting a player on a breakaway dunk. You aren't explicitly trying to injure and it could be construed as an aggressive play to prevent a basket, but should be treated as intent to injure.
