I treat my yard with Talstar and have not had any flee or tick issues with the K9.

Update: The dogs and cat have been sleeping outside for 3-4 nights. I sprayed some Home Defense all around their bedding and basically saturated the floor of the basement until I ran out of spray. Yesterday the DE I ordered arrived, and I spent some time last night spreading that around the entire basement. That stuff makes a huge mess. The plan is to leave it sitting until Saturday or Sunday then I'll shop vac and hopefully get all the dead bodies out of there. I'm not letting the animals back inside for the summer. They have houses and beds outside they can sleep in. I figure if nothing is bringing them in and I kill all the ones already inside, they will have nothing to live off of and will be gone soon. I also have a bug spray company coming out tomorrow to spray the yard. One of the neighborhood groups contracted with a company for group rates for mosquito prevention. They come out and spray every three weeks. And I told them about the fleas, and they're going to treat the lawn very thoroughly because of that. I've treated the pets as well. Hopefully my carpet bombing tactics work out soon. Thanks for all the recommendations. I used some drops on the pets as well as the pills mentioned.
