I know for League, the players out there are extremely popular. Every week they go outside and take pictures and sign shite for the fans.
It really does blow my mind that video games have become this popular and lucrative (outside of sales for the developing companies)
ETA: This game is difficult to follow. League of Legends is way simpler to watch. Granted Riot (the game's creating company) broadcasts on its own, so I doubt it will ever be on ESPN.
