I just needed a good RIS.

Is Clown Shoes making good beers now? We had them in CO a couple years ago and other than catchy names they had nothing going for them. I think they lasted all of 3 months here. I know Ben at Brash(Petrol Owner) used to or still might do all his brewing at their brewery in MA or wherever it is.

Urine- I am sitting on 10-14 Darkness and I may open 10 this fall. The 14 I'm really not sure what to do with since it is BA. If you only have the one 12, I suggest you wait til next winter, they tend to age really well. I also find that other than BCBS you never really know what you are getting into on aging stouts or barley wines. I've been to several tastings where one year is phenomenal and the year next to it is garbage. You roll the dice and hope for the best.

I wouldn't say that, necessarily. I've had a few Clown Shoes beer that were, well, clown questions, bro. But this one is pretty solid. It has a wonderful roast to it and pretty above-average body. It's like your second pick to prom.

Their Extremely Angry Beast was also solid, but the most recent version was pretty hot, in my estimation. I think it would do well with a little time on it. So I wouldn't say good across the board, but they have a few bright spots.

Their hoppy beers that I've tried have sucked. Maybe it's a product of freshness. I can't say.
