I agree that getting fake offended is a really annoying part of contemporary American culture.
However, isn't getting fake offended at people who are fake offended also annoying?
Hence, a website like Jezebel posts a "scandalous" story meant to make people angry, and get them to say things like, "ugh, Americans are so [insert form of prejudice regarding strong oppressing the weak]."
Then, a website like The Blaze posts a "scandalous" story meant to make people angry at people who got angry, and get them to say things like "ugh, everyone is such a [insert some form of disgust at the weak oppressing the strong, funny, rich, etc.]
Why not just ignore the whole thing as being utterly beneath anyone with sense?

The article is already worded to make it seem as though the whole world was offended by this. In truth, it's probably much less than one percent.
