game between BYYA (Broussard-Youngsville) and Brown Park (Upper Lafayette).
I've coached against Brown Park in other sports and they are truly barbaric.

There's in elephant in the room but that's not important

What race is the elephant?

I kind of hope the cops give the guy some "stick time" for hitting a female.

And apparently the police still haven't identified the coach who threw the punch. Don't know how that possible

I coached youth girls basketball last season. The cops had to be called just to get us out of the gym. The city does nothing about it, I am glad youngsville put its foot down.

I've been escorted out of a gym under police guard after beating Brown Park. And this was like 20 years ago.

I played for BYYA growing up. Brown Park were always a bunch of thugs no matter the sport

And of course Coach Jackson of Black Park accuses the team they attacked of racial slurs that led to the fight
Well, it DOES seem strange that a fight would randomly break out after the game while they were shaking hands. It seems likely that one of the girls said something to set them off.
That being said, it doesn't justify violence. More of us need to learn how to walk away when someone drops the N-bomb.

Wow, presume much? Seems like you've got it all figured out. Glad you've narrowed it down to: the little racist white girls ran their mouths after the game, they used the N-word, violence ensued, and while clearly whitey started it, black people should take the high road. Nice.

I agree, some things were probably said. But the coaches said it was going on during the game, why not get with the umpire, stop the game and either stop the shite talking there, or simply get your team and walk off. Address the issue before it becomes what it became.

I say this as someone who has umpired youth baseball/softball for 10+ years. Sadly many of the coaches don't care about trash talk and/or sportsmanship. Their main goal in winning first and foremost.
Also sadly, many of these coaches don't actually coach fundamentals well at all and only win because they are loaded with talented kids. Ends up hurting the kids as they get older as they don't get the proper basics down during their developmental years.
