I can't wait until I have enough property to plant a nice big garden.

been doin it my whole life "im 32" lol.. grandpa always did a huge garden. After he passed i decided i would do one myself to carry on tradition. My garden is now right at a full acre. Its A TON of work. between trying to keep it watered "most years" keep the weeds and grass out, keep the bugs off, keep the deer and coons out... then if you make it that far harvest it, shuck and silk corn, shell peas and butter beans, cook them all down, can or bag it, and put it up. You spend countless days "and nights" in the garden.... but its worth it come winter and bust out some sweet corn and peas from the freezer

Doesn't take much, really.
I have five 6x3ft raised beds along the side of my house, not much space in reality.
This fulfills my family of five's needs as such:
-100% of salad
-75% of cooking greens
-90% of tomatoes
-50% of root veggies
-100% of herbs
-misc peppers, cucumbers, etc
Above for May-Oct. Winter is the dark days
