The one through TAF is for Nick and mama.
The one through Go Fund Me covers fiancé and two daughters.

LSU is permitted to accept financial gifts and manage an account to assist the Brossette family. Those interested in assisting Nick Brossette and his family can make contributions to the Tiger Athletic Foundation by going to www.lsutaf.org.
Per NCAA rules, all contributions of any kind must go through this fund. Donors need to be aware that financial contributions to this fund are not tax deductible and not eligible for LSU Priority Points.
This is going to be a huge fund for this family. Prayers will be answered and the LSU faithfuls will def be there for him

Reasons why ObamaCare (or something of it's kind) is needed.
I worked with Mendel, aka Jeff, for three years at DOW in Plaquemine. Great guy...really upstanding man and a extremely hard worker. Was made lead foreman of his shift at the age of 24. He would tell us stories of his younger brother Nick well before he became a high level recruit. Sad and really terrible situation. Mendel really was the sole income provider for his entire family and seemed to be about three years away from his younger brother possibly being in the NFL which would have brought much need fortune and help to the family, as well as relief and accomplishment to Mendel (he has been the father figure to his younger brothers). I can not begin to imagine to pain and grief his family is going through.

OK this is really annoying, everyone is talking about his brothers and his mother which are all practically grown if not grown. There are still two little girls that Mendel has that are without their father. I am not trying to sound like a b***H but damn. Put yourselves not only in his brother's shoes but in the shoes of the 8 and 6 year old daughters he has that will never see their father again. I understand that people want to support Nick and his family but the two biggest victims in all of this are his daughters.

I think that people assume that the daughters are part of that "family". Easy dude.

well I don't think Nick and his mom plan on hoarding all of these donations for themselves, you should probably calm the hell down

Youngest brother is 13. It's still young and is quite a damn shame.

Just checked the go fund me page. It was only 5k. I had not donated yet, I guess thinking "I'll get to it", or "let someone else do it."
When I saw the 5k balance in 5 days, I was disappointed in myself, and us as fans.
If you've already donated, props to you. If you were like me, and left it to someone else, don't. We like to think of ourselves as a little different in times like this, in terms of generosity. Let's prove that thought right by reaching out and helping the family of one of about 100 young men who give many of us our greatest source of joy, pride, entertainment, and good times.

I just went and donated. I hope the donations pick up. That sounds like a paltry amount considering the needs of the family.
Correction. I didn't go to the GoFundMe page. I went to the TAF site. Have not seen the total in that fund. Hopefully it's less modest.
