Point is, there are plenty of centers out there making under 8 million that provide what Asik does and more.

No, the point is you are looking for any alternative to Asik, even if the options are fictional. There are plenty of centers making less than $8 million, but they are not available in the upcoming Free Agency. Also, we don't have $8-$12 million in cap space to give Asik, we have Bird Rights, so it's not like we can take the money we have for Asik and give it to another FA center.

So in what is likely a contract year for Monty and Demps you want them to take a step back by not resigning Asik. That'll happen.

I'd give Deandre Jordan $18 million before I give Asik $11.

And that sums up the problem with just about everything you post on Asik, the alternative you are suggesting is not an available option. And if you were to make the trades that makes it an option, you turn Asik to Jordan, but you dump enough that you essentially are where you started this year, not enough legit rotation players on the roster.

didn't realize that.
Signing Asik just means that we have Asik going forward, and i don't like not having options.
21 free agents in 2016, and we won't have a chance to get one b/c we are stuck with overpaying Asik b/c we had no other choice.

I'm confident a healthy team with fill in centers not named Steisma next year can make the playoffs without Asik.

Trades can be made.

Do tell me who. Robin Lopez? That's about it and he's about to get paid. Kanter is on a rookie deal and plays no defense.

Spewing shite out of your arse.
