This too. I cannot fault a person for what their ancestors did. I'd bet that during multiple points in one's ancestry you could find both slaveholder and slave.

It shows how warped his thinking is. Wouldn't it be a better story/picture that a great great grandson of a slaveholder is an advocate, albeit shallow advocacy, for civil rights?
