I swear everyone at that rodeo had a $1000+ kayak. I was slumming in my beat up native.

We fished off of LA1 and caught a couple reds. Couldn't buy a flounder or trout. We rolled the dice, but had a blast. Some of those guys brought in some fat-arse trout.

My Slayer suits me just fine but I'm always amazed at how many Pro Anglers are at these tournaments. As much as people bitch about their prices the 3 tournaments I've done I'd say ~50% or more of the entrants are fishing from PAs. Several Outbacks, Revos and Slayer Propels sprinkled in a well. About the only way I'd ever own a PA is if I win one, which judging by my track record I'll be paddling for quite some time.

I saw one yesterday with a power pole and touch screen GPS/sounder. I stopped and watched him try and scoot his tub toy across a grass flat, I guess his flappy peddle drive thing is worthless in that situation.

I don't get it. Why dump all this cash into a kayak that's too heavy to pick up and needs a foot of water to peddle?
