Les' s job is to win games. Harris would not have done this last year.
AJ isn't the answer but he was the only option last season.
I still don't get why people have this feeling. I guess the Auburn game clouds everyone's memory, but Harris was head and shoulders better last year.
And it's undeniable.
Adjusted scoring (points scored - turnovers x average opp. points/turnover) is telling enough.
Jennings 11 scores.. 10 turnovers = adj. score of 54
Harris.. 9 scores.. 3 turnovers = adj. score of 50
You can argue whatever you want.. however you want.. but the fact is Harris accounted for virtually the same amount of points in 1/4th the ammount of snaps.
Jennings averaged a touchdown every 30 plays.
While Harris averaged one every 8 plays!
Les has made some "headscratching" decisions over the years, but starting Harris at Auburn(what were they ranked? like #3 at the time) and not giving him a chance against Arkansas when Jennings was more than useless were two of the more bizarre and frustrating things I've ever seen.
Harris still accounted for more yards than Jennings (they split time) against Auburn.
Harris was better. Plain and simple.
There is no justifiable reason to claim that Jennings gave us a better chance at winning. We won in spite of him in every possible way.
Dural is just translating the stats into words.
Good to hear, nonetheless.

And didn't even know the playbook

OK let's hear it. Since you can say Harris was undeniably better, let's hear your reasoning.
How was his reading of defenses pre snap?
How was his footwork?
Did he look off defenders?
How about checks at the line?
How many broken plays occurred under him?
I'm tired of posters like you spouting off that Harris was better without posting any sort of justification for your opinion outside of "he was just better man. It was obvious." So put on your coach hat and let's hear it. Actually break down Harris' game for me as a coach would.
