So, Next is actually better for the consumer? I've never paid attention to the numbers as I've never felt, in the past, that I had any real choice.

No money down to upgrade and you have more options. I like it better.

It's more different than better

2 year contract = Lease, you get the most value by upgrading regularly.
Next = Buy, you get the most value by using your phone as long as possible.

There are a variety of other factors at play like reselling your phone and the discount you get based on the size of your data plan, but for the most part they are similar options and better is really determined by how often you upgrade your phone.

It's definitely better if you go over 10gb in your family

And unlimited data is myth
