Issue is he won't have control. City has the old Barca team in there pulling strings. Also City can't spend all that cash anymore bc of FFP and their owners are shady as frick. The Youth Academy looks great but hasn't produced a first team player since the take over and even by the manager right now admission no one is ready. Klopp isn't the manager who buys big stars left and right.

While I agree City ownership might not be patient enough, I would think FFP, the academy and the fact Klopp doesn't buy big stars makes for an attractive marriage.

I'm not convinced the old Barca people in the front office will be retained either, so Klopp might be given more control than we think.

Issue is the academy isn't good enough. Yea it looks awesome but their model of developing players has been there for 7 years now. And not one first team player.

That comes down to the coaches and scouting at that level.

The last regular first team City youth player was Richards and he came through before the take over and was eventually marginalized the last few years.

The basically sent Sturridge packing dude only made 26 appearances in all competitions after the take over yet was able to get 96 matches at Chelsea in 3 1/2 years.
