People act like Sherman is smart because they think it's cool to label a black guy as smart. Like they're trying to come off as super not racist. I have no idea if he's smart or not. He seems like he's got his shite straight and that's all that really matters. But everybody wants to get on record as calling the guy some genius. People shouldn't really care what he is.

ETA: it's the exact same thing when people say "random white guy is a sneaky fast."

Give me a break. The only reason people consider Sherman smart is so they don't appear racist? That's some dumb arse shite right there.

Richard Sherman attended Dominguez High School after being born in Compton, California and went on to be the school's salutatorian with a 4.2 GPA. He also graduated from Stanford with a degree in communications, and has since began his master's degree. One time, while still in high-school, Richard Sherman made Pete Carroll (was head coach at USC) wait 2.5 hours to meet him...because he didn't want to leave class early.
