Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer rumor

I don't know about all of this.
It sounds like fans may finally be getting a look at the trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice very soon.
According to Latino Review, director Zack Snyder will release just five seconds from the teaser trailer this Thursday at 9AM PST. From there, according to this rumor, you’ll be able to sign up to see the full trailer on Monday, April 20, in a theater of your choosing. Additionally, LR says the trailer will be attached to Avengers: Age of Ultron when that film is released later this month. (This would conflict with previous reports that the trailer would premiere before Warner Bros.' Mad Max: Fury Road when it hits in mid-May.)

A thread about a rumor about a possible five seconds of trailer for a trailer. This is about the purest example of geeking out I could imagine.

I was thinking it would be genius to put this trailer in front of Avengers: Ultron.

Doesn't Marvel has some say in which trailers run before its movies?

Just release a damn trailer and be done with it. The movie has already been completed.

I fear this may give away too much about the trailer, instead they should show the five seconds to a random movie-goer, then release five seconds of him describing the five seconds of the trailer.

Genius? More like marketing for people who are not retards! If they don't do it they are retarded.

What will we miss? This movie's going to suck trucker nuts and be a huge disappointment anyway...
frick Zack Snyder for ruining this movie in advance!

Not many people will be disappointed if this thing turns out to be the train wreck most people think it will be.

Not to take away from you guys bitching, but...
I'm looking forward to the trailer because the trailers to Snyder's movies are usually fantastic. Love or hate Watchmen, but that trailer was phenomenal.
Usually a trailer is a trailer, but with Snyder it could be something that's really entertaining.

This. The trailer for Sucker Punch gave you no idea what a steaming pile that movie would be.

The trailer won't be ahead of Ultron. Marvel movies are distributed by Disney and DC are distributed by Warner Brothers they are in competition. Disney won't promote WB movies.

I've seen non-Disney films promoted prior to Disney movies.

The "quadrant" system. As many as six trailers play before features at major chains, like AMC and Regal. The studio releasing a given film typically has automatic rights to two of these slots, and theater executives (in consultation with higher-ups from various studios) select the remaining four. Though theoretically studios and theaters could attach any trailer to any movie, they usually decide which releases to promote by using the "quadrant" system, which divides potential audiences into four different categories: men under 25, women under 25, men over 25, and women over 25. Before chick flicks, theaters play previews for romantic dramas as well as romantic comedies, because they figure that's what young women will eventually want to see. Regal Cinemas also began matching red band trailers, which include profanity and sexually explicit scenes, with R, NC-17, and unrated movies in 2008. And sometimes theaters disregard quadrants altogether if something else ties the movies together—say, if they're all in 3-D. (It's impossible to show a 3-D trailer before a 2-D movie, since those audiences aren't wearing special glasses.)
Of course, since there are often more than four possible previews available in a given quadrant, negotiating which trailers make the cut can be tricky. The young men going to see Clash of the Titans might enjoy learning about any number of upcoming movies—Kick-arse, The Losers, Iron Man 2—in addition to the films already being advertised before the feature. Theaters further narrow the field by trying to treat all major studios more or less equally. They might play Warner Bros. trailers on 20 percent of all screens and Disney trailers on 30 percent, for example. The same trailers don't always play before the same movie at every branch of a large chain, so it's possible to spread the wealth around.
