look, I appreciate your conservation perspective. But some things are better left to individual choice. Way too much money, time, and effort is expended to make anyone feel guilty for keeping 25 specks. I'm all for keeping less if YOU wan to do so. But I think it should be an individual's choice.

What about a group of 5 keeping 125? If everyone keeps 25, those numbers could get out of hand really fast.

We got in the mess in the first place because people are too stupid to make decisions on their own. If there were no limits our fishery would be decimated because people can not control themselves.
Keeping 25 specs isn't the issue. It's keeping 25 specs every time just because it's legal. This mentality is somewhat unique to certain, shall I say, demographics. There is a common denominator that goes along with that way of thinking.
I'm not trying to shame anyone or make anyone feel bad. At the end of the day there needs to be an effort to educate more license holders that way we can keep our 25 fish limit. The high limit is great for people who only make out a few times a year yet we continue to abuse the privilege.
At some point we need to stop looking to someone else to decide how many fish we can keep and start educating our fishermen.
