About once a week I get this pain and it feels like someone is standing on my sternum. It happens mostly from about 1-3am and keeps me up for a couple of hours. Any of you have this problem or any remedies for it?

Dead at it. I know diet and exercise are probably the first thing to.

Prinzmetal's Angina. See a physician.

Could be many things, if you haven't had a check up recently it probably wouldn't hurt, and to mention it to a doctor.

Its believed that people with AB are around 25% more likely to develop heart diseease. If you know the types of your parents it may shed a little light.
Depending on your age, weight, daily routine etc. If it's concerning you it's worth scheduling a doctor's visit. Some people take an asprin, which can help thin the blood for better blood flow. May help some

No known heart problems? I wouldn't hesitate to make an appointment for a checkup if you think it's heart related.
Otherwise.....
Maybe GERD? Not quite like heartburn. It feels like a lot of gassy pressure in the lower chest and upper abdomen sometimes.
May be what you have especially if you are worried or stressing over something while laying horizontal.

How much food and alchol are you consuming immediately prior to when you go to sleep? I am a seasoned drinker but if I have put down say a 18 pack in a 5 hour period then wake up. I'm not sleeping worth a shite. Chest pains all night after one hour of hard sleep.

I'm not sure if it has every happened on a night where i've drank and usually pretty good while after i have eaten.

Start taking baby aspirin daily. If that doesn't help, see your physician.

How many pillows you sleep on? Do you check your weight each day? Do a baby aspirin(81mg). Can't hurt and get checked.
