Trader Joe's Sweet Sriracha Uncured Bacon Jerky

Haven't seen it mentioned here, but if you haven't had this, go get yourself a bag now. It is amazing and addictive.
quote:
Thick bacon strips are cured in a sweet and spicy marinade made from a combination of honey and our signature Sriracha-style sauce. (No nitrates or nitrites are used in the curing process, except what is naturally present in celery powder and sea salt.) The taste of tender, premium bacon is notched-up by the heat of ground red chili peppers, and sweet, pure honey. A savory blend of additional flavors—like soy sauce, garlic, cayenne, black pepper, sea salt, red wine vinegar, and ginger—bring more savor and contrast to this perky, protein bite.

I saw this thread and went to Trader Joe's this afternoon and got some. It is incredible.

Great to hear! I'm guilty of devouring a whole bag in 1 sitting. it's quite easy to do because the pieces tend to stick together.

Same thing happened to me. It is difficult to pull out a small piece. I finished the bag in the parking lot of my office.
ETA: for those looking in BR, it is in the back left of the store hanging on the right of the beer rack.

I was intrigued so I went by there tonight and grabbed a bag. Holy shite is that stuff good! It is absolutely fantastic. Sweet and hot bacon flavor with a little crunch. Fabulous stuff.
Also quite expensive at $44.00 per pound. But it makes one hell of an indulgent snack. Thanks for the heads up SUB.

they opened a trader joes 10 minutes from my house last year.
for some reason I never went, always thought it was a dumb hippy place
went there 3 months ago to waste time, $100 later I walked out and I go every sunday to stock up for the week
its my happy place. so great and the customer service is second to none

Haha! That place has an amazing ability to drain the pockets. It's just really clever how they make everything look so damned good. It's a fun place to go visit.

Yep. Time to go restock on my hummus (I love the quad they have) and check this out. I'll fight a soccer mom if I have to.

Do want. I tried some bacon jerky for the first time last month (just the kroger brand). I was impressed but it was a little sweet for my taste

How much was it for the bag? I've never bought it myself. Jack links beef jerky is about $7-8 per bag, right?

$5.50 for a 2 ounce bag. You can get a 1 pound bag of Jack Links for about $13 at Sam's.
