Is Kawhi overrated on the MSB, or not?

I can't figure the guy out. He's downright great at doing what the Spurs ask of him, and has shown up big in the finals. Can he be THE man? Could he drag the Spurs to the playoffs while having to grind it out every night during an 82 game season?
I'm ready for the Kawhi show, dammit. When's Pop gonna let him fly?!

I don't understand what you are asking. You want him to play on a worse team?

I strongly believe that Kawhi is overrated. I think he is a great role player who works perfectly for the Spurs. But I also don't believe he could carry a team on his back. If he signed a huge contract with say the Hornets next year, I don't think he would suddenly become this monster player who everyone had in the MVP race.
I think Pop uses him perfectly, and I don't think he is a max player. I think Parker has been underrated in San Antonio for years, and people are finally realizing it. But I think people realizing they underrated him during his prime years has caused them to overrate the next young Spurs player. While Parker as a result of the offensive system didn't have the high assists people expect out of an elite PG, Kawhi benefits from the offense and players around him.
I truly believe that Kawhi will be exposed in some ways if Pop and Duncan retire this year.

If you think he is a multiple all-star then yes.
If you underestimate how valuable a SF/PF who can stretch get you 15 and 10 on any given night while playing great D is, then no.
I think this board overrates / underrates players in general. Kawaii is not an all-star but I still consider him a top 40 player in the league.

Kawhi is a future star in this league

I've been watching 'Whi since SDSU. He is not a Lebron, he's a team player that does all the little things right, and you can't put a price on that. If someone else got him, they should just use him the same way. He is his best when he doesn't have to be the man.
