Trying to get a cat-back system installed. System is already custom made to fit on existing hangers and no custom work is needed. All they will need to do is weld the pipes and install. Reputable local shop quoted me at $125. Good deal or no?

Fair price, but most new kits will come with flanges that just bolt together

This one comes with clamps but I'd rather get it welded to avoid leaks.

$125 that's very good for any type of labor. I didn't know there was anything that could be done to a truck by a shop for that cheap anymore, including just hooking up the computer diagnostic machine.

sounds like a very reasonable price to me, especially if they are welding it together.

What year and make of truck?
Consider this - if it is a newer f150 you should have 3" stainless mandrel bent exhaust tubing from start to finish. A catback system isnt any different. You can have the muffler swapped for a Si/So or Si/Do (obviously have to add piping and two tailpipes) and both options should be cheaper than a prefab system AND installation cost
I swapped my muffler for a 18" magnaflow to get the sound i wanted - $100 muffler and $40 install. Didnt want duals. A catback only, isnt netting any maor gains in HP so why change an already good system

It's actually for a Camaro 2SS.
I know, the OB will shun me forever.

well nevermind what system are you going with?

I sure hope so. I thought the ATAK system was a bit over the top. Seems like the S-Type is a step above the stock without being obnoxious.

I've heard lots of good reviews on borla systems. not real familiar with the car systems though.

Location? Place close to my house does them for $100 cash and does good work, but that may or may not help depending on where you are

This place is in Tucson. That might cost a bit of gas money and cancel out the $25 difference.

I wish it was that easy for me. I've got dual 2.5 in/single 3.5 out from the factory

So about 2 hours labor. That's a fair price
