If that is your club policy that is fine but I would prefer the scorched earth approach where you destroy everything and everyone so nobody ever thinks of messing with you again.

That's how wars are started that nobody ever really wins and the only real outcome is a bunch of people dead, bunch in jail, whole lot of lives ruined, and nothing but bad publicity for all involved. It may sound like a good idea to you, but in the real world, it's not.

And on top of that, there's the matter of honor. There's no honor in going after someone's family. That's a coward's way of handling things. If you have a problem with another man, you address it with that man, not his wife and kids.

Burn the village and kill the people
Throw some napalm in the square
Do it on a Sunday morning
While they're kneeling down in prayer

Throw some candy in the school yard
Watch the kiddies gather round
Slap a mag in your grease gun
And mow those little frickers down

Napalm sticks to kids
Napalm sticks to kids like glue!

Scorched earth works, there is a reason the Romans did it, genghis khan did it, and lots of other civilizations did it.

Today it is more about will - no one wants to go far enough to truly have a scorched earth policy.

I had a family member involved in the Bataan death march. Some of the stuff he told usthe japs did to them before, during, and afterwards. I understand that generations hate for them.

yes, those empires also subjectgated those people they conquered. So instilling fear into them may it easier for them to rule. But there is also something you are leaving out, each one of those empire fell apart and died.

turning millions of people against you is not always the best practice.

Look at Japan today, they are one of our closer allies in the world.

so going in and destroy an entire population would have no benefit for us or the rest of the world.

My father served on a submarine in the Pacific (U.S.S. Silversides)fighting the Japanese. He went through some really grueling stuff (depth charge, strafing, etc.) and he despised the Japanese for all the years afterwards. Submariners were hated almost as much as airmen and if they were captured (rare because if you were a sailor swimming on the surface after your sub was sunk the Japanese would machine-gun you in the water)then torture was the final product for you. Anyway, a friend of mine asked my father what he did during the war. My father's reply was classic...."I taught Japanese how to swim". His generation was a different breed for sure.

I know some personal injury attorneys who were going to try a tire seperation case against a Japanese manufacturer, but the damages weren't really enough to justify spending money to go to trial. These dude's old timer boss told them "frick it, just go to trial. Everybody hates the Japs." This was in 2012.

I read somewhere that Genghis Khan changed the climate because the Mongoose killed so many that there was no one left to farm large areas so they reverted to whatever they were before.
