Let me splain it to you. Bregman sits on fastballs A LOT. Now, like someone posted earlier, guessing is part of batting. But I think Bregman lives off it more than most, and it won't work so well when he starts seeing pitchers with command of more than two pitches.

I couldn't disagree more. Anyone who leads the nation as the hardest player in D1 to strike out is not a guess hitter. Guess hitters are notorious for striking out (see Gary Shefield)..JaCoby Jones was a guess hitter and struck out too many times. The thing is he stays back and dares the pitcher to throw him a fastball and when they do he usually squares it up and hits it hard. Yes he is mostly a fast ball hitter and rarely swings at off-speed. But every at-bat the pitcher will throw 1 or 2 fastballs and they usually pay for it. He has very fast hips and hands and recognizes fast balls quickly. But he's definitely not a guess hitter. Far from it.

If you've played at any level of competitive baseball then everyone is a guess hitter to some degree. It's a part of hitting. Simply decided that you won't swing at a certain pitch requires some thought to it before the pitch is even delivered. Now to what extent is a different story. I somewhat agree with your statement though he isn't as bad as some ppl here are making him out to be.
