Still no timetable for Jrue

@SteveGellerWWL: Pelicans coach Monty Williams says still no timetable for Jrue Holiday. Did admit he had hope the PG would have been back this past week
Ugh. Get well soon please.
@SteveGellerWWL: @phelpsalot Monty says goal is still back by end of season but time is a tickin'. Personally I don't think it will happen

dude isn't playing why are they teasing us

Just deactivate him for the season and send him to LA for the summer. Have him ready to go for next season.

End of the season? So the next few days you mean?

Good. I'd love to hear that he was 100% and ready to play, but I'm more worried about him playing next year than this year, so I say if rest is the cure give him an over dose.

does he possibly need surgery? if so, he should have been under the knife a month ago

I will be pissed if we hear he has surgery a few weeks after the season. But everything we've heard, there is no new fracture, just precursors to one. The possibility of another surgery hasn't even been mentioned in passing by anyone.

Medical staff needs to be fired if that happens

i think our training staff missed leg day. as in the day they learned about how to help heal leg injuries.

Just my gut feel based on the way this situation has played out. I think they are dragging this out to see if we get into the postseason or not. I expect Jrue back in a limited capacity if we make it in.

Why? Stress fractures are tricky, if the body doesn't want to heal then it is not going to heal.

Eric Gordon has missed 151 games since he came to NOLA (47% of his games). Holiday has missed 86 (55% of his games). Unbelievable! What a waste of money and time.

you can't predict those injuries, though. that's just unlucky.

1. The training staff is not the same one that was responsible for the EG situation
2. You can't predict injuries
3. Every person heals different. There are so many variables to consider that unless you spend 4 years of medical school and 5 years doing an ortho residency or sports medicine residency, you do not know enough to make an informed opinion.

Monty's direct quote:
Starts about 7:10 LINK
When asked if a time would come when Jrue would get shut down he said it wasn't his call it'd be an organizational decision between Loomis, Demps and Monty, but then said it was on Loomis.
So it doesn't sound like he's had a set back, he just hasn't hit whatever milestone he needed to get to the next step. Still not good, but better than a setback.

3 weeks ago, maybe 2 weeks ago I thought it was going to be on this last trip, so I don't [have a timeline]. I wish I did but I don't. I think every...I hate to say day to day, but it does have that kind of feel, especially when you have limited games to go, so I still don't know. I hope it's tomorrow [chuckles], with that being said how effective can you be if you just jump right out there?

it's surprising those kind of decisions rest with Loomis. i feel like he's got enough shite going on with draft prep

Is Loomis running the dealerships too?
Good God, this guy is a machine.

I think Loomis' role as direct agent is misunderstood.
The Jrue playing ship has not sailed.

Yeah, the buck stops with Loomis is the impression I got. The question was in regards to when they would decide to shut Jrue down. It's not like he's going to do a ton of research on stress fractures, I would assume he's going to look at the executive summary and hear his lieutenants plead their cases and then make the final decision.

That is about right. He is "in."
As far as Holiday goes, if he was shut down medically, they would shut him down publicly. There are little windows to make announcements, but I would not weight the bad sounding news over the direct evidence of them letting him work, which we have.
