What do you have this motor on? It should fling the shite out of a 26.

Z8 -
If I raise the motor up enough it will sling it but the rooster tail is ridiculous and the prop will lose some bite

raise on tilt or on jack plate? ive you have the ability tower entire motor and then trim in or out up or down...you should be able to find the sweet spot..who cares about rooster tail....good tail and a bite ...ur cruisin....if your not biting with the 26...a lower pitch will have less bite and blow out more

My point is this particular prop likes to be run high and my hull doesn't preform like I would like when it's running up high. The other issue with running high is losing water pressure so there are lots of factors that go into it.
Thinking of going with a 25 fury or even a 4 blade bravo

hmmmmmm.....again im not a big boat guy...i dont believe you loose enough water pressure to hurt anything...ig you have a stream weak or strong pissing out the water is making it through enough to keep it cool....my opinion, i run my lil motors high as i can my current 16 x 46 express sits in the water like a bass boat on plane...very little boat in the water (the front half of the rear bench is up out of the water)...never burned one up....we ran dads bay boat the same way when he had it

Have you ever tried a 26 trophy?
Blade profile is way different. I never liked the tempest personally.

No haven't tried a trophy... Only had the boat about 7 months so I haven't had a ton of time with it. I have access to a couple of 25p props that I could run without having to buy them first so that's what I was going to try and do first

That's nice to have available. Try em all! In my experience with the tempest, they would pull engine rpm down and lose speed, didn't drive very well either. The trophy drove like a champ and carried a load very well. I quit using thru hub props before the fury came out so I don't know much about those.

whats the other hull? skiff and what else
The skiff is a little hells bay whipray and the other hull is an aluminum tunnel hull with sponsons. It's slow as balls but will run in an inch of water.
The stock aluminum prop gave me about the same performance but running shallow marsh and bumping oysters took it's toll on the aluminum.
