Help identifying a baby snake

Anyone have any idea what this is exactly? Just killed it in our garage. Obviously a baby but I kind of squashed his head when killing it. That's why I can't make it out? Being in the garage and not being able to identify it as poisonous or not makes me a little nervous. Especially with my wife and little fellow going to the car in flip flops.
