People spend 50k on a car or truck they don't need. What's 10k for saving a loyal companion's life?

Just because other people spend money where they don't need to, doesn't mean you should. And I'm not saying it's a stupid decision for you. If it's worth it to you then dammit, it's not dumb at all.

I'm just so far in the other direction that it's hard to fathom spending that much money on a dog. I LOVE my dog. But I'd NEVER set myself back financially to save her.

I spent almost $30k on a sick black lab in about a 2.5 year period. You can get the details in my past posts if you want the rundown.

She was the sweetest animal I've ever owned, and I've had a few over the years.
