It's not as if they knew this guy routinely bit of hamster's heads, or at least I hope not. Everyone's done some ridiculously stupid shite when they're drunk. Had a friend who shat in the corner in a fraternity party. He's never been able to live it down, but it was by all accounts an isolated incident. The kid is clearly nuts, but I doubt he'll do anything that crazy again.

The difference is that that SAE chant is apparently a trend and not an isolated incident. They've sang that several dozen times, and they are apparently also stupid enough as a unit to sing that in front of non-members. A pledge brother of mine said the N-word in front of the actives in the chapter room, and he was put on probation right out of the gates and learned to keep his trap shut when it came to his feelings about black people. It's just ridiculous to me that a chapter of 150+ people would be dumb and racist enough to say that shite.
