I'm still in support of CPM. That doesn't mean that he never makes mistakes and when he does it's fair to call him out for them. But overall he's a good coach and I think we have a good, possibly great team. I'm looking forward to the rest of the year.

This is odd to me and it reads like Mainieri is feeling pressure from somewhere. A coach of a team thats 23-5 and ranked in the top 5 shouldn't have to defend his decisions after a loss. Not only that but it comes off from PM as "I know more about baseball than you so STFU."
